The Full Story

Hi, I’m Erikka, and this is Shawn. Through my personal journey living with a rare brain disease, I’ve experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the world when accessibility and understanding aren’t built in. I realized there aren’t many places where people with disabilities truly feel at home, and that inspired me to create something different. My goal has always been to build spaces where everyone regardless of ability can feel safe, supported, and included.
My work with Hope Network, supporting adults with autism and other developmental differences, showed me the impact a caring, patient, and structured environment can have. It taught me how much joy, growth, and confidence can come when people feel understood and valued. That’s why Shawn and I created Sensory Park: an inclusive, welcoming space where kids of all abilities can play, explore, and just be themselves without limits or judgment.
